3B, considering the increasing market requirements, have partnered with passive fire protection system MCL United Ltd and have created a dedicated fabrication facility at its Mina Abdulla facility to manufacture MCL designed enclosures to cater the market requirements throughout the Middle East region.
MCL designed enclosures manufactured by 3B are multi-component systems made up from ceramic and glass cloths and felts, metallic foils, silica aerogel insulation and high grade stainless steels. Ceramic blankets have been replaced by body soluble silicate formulations. The elastomeric and silicone membrane coatings have been tested and found to be totally innocuous under fire conditions.

The enclosure systems have been extensively tested and certified and have proven to maintain their integrity throughout the high temperatures of a hydrocarbon fire and additionally, the enormously erosive effects of a jet fire.
The enclosure’s insulation core and jet fire resistant element are totally encapsulated in a tough silicone coated glass cloth giving it exceptional robustness in a wide range of environmental conditions. Nylon quilting studs are used to ensure that insulation materials stay firmly in place throughout the design life of the jacket
